"I would not hesitate to recommend The Pregnancy Smoothie"
- Ali Pickles, Mid Wife
“Having a Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie is an easy way to give you energy and help you glow.
The smoothie is not a meal replacement but an ideal snack to complement pregnancy supplements.
Having easy accessible snacks on hand when you are pregnant can assist with acid build-up or reflux by allowing your digestive system to process smaller meals rather than larger meals, which are harder to digest."

"An ideal snack to complement pregnancy supplements"
- Cheree Sheldon, Nutritionist
“I would not hesitate to recommend The Healthy Mummy Pregnancy Smoothie – in fact, I’d probably prescribe it!
Normally, I don’t encourage pre-made smoothies, but this product has no artificial colours or preservatives and is not genetically modified.
It is sweetened with thaumatin, a natural sweetener from fruit, so it has no sugar or fructose, and will not have a negative impact on your blood sugar.”

FAQ
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between the normal Healthy Mummy Smoothie and the Pregnancy Smoothie?
The Pregnancy smoothie has additional protein, calcium, iron and key nutrients needed in pregnancy. The normal smoothie is focused on post pregnancy and doesn’t contain all the extra nutrients needed in pregnancy. If you do have the original and non pregnancy one please note that they do not have any caffeine, chemicals or artificial sweeteners in them, so they are safe as a once a day snack in pregnancy or as a nutritional boost. Please also note that one smoothie contains 180mcg RE Vitamin A. The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of Vitamin A for pregnancy and breastfeeding is 700-800mcg, with an upper limit of intake of 2800-3000mcg per day. Due to the above we recommend the pregnancy smoothie for pregnancy which has no Vitamin A and is high in protein, calcium and pregnancy nutrients needed.

Is Body Mass Index reliable?
Your BMI, or Body Mass Index, is a measure of your weight compared to your height. Accurate assessments of obesity are important, as being overweight or obese significantly increases your risk of a variety of medical conditions including type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer. As levels of overweight or obesity increase, the spotlight has fallen on BMI and its shortcomings as a measure of ideal weight for individuals, rather than whole populations of people where ‘averages’ apply.
For most adults, BMI gives a good estimate of your weight-related health risks. If your BMI is over 35, your weight is definitely putting your health at risk.
Please enter your weight and height as accurate as possible. Your results will appear here.
- You are underweight for your height. It’s important to stay within a healthy weight range to improve your body’s ability to fight off illness or infections.
